Join Ottobock for Limb Loss Awareness Day
Burlington, Ontario (April 9, 2018) – Ottobock HealthCare, a world-leading supplier of innovative solutions for people with limited mobility and educator in its industry, is sponsoring an educational Limb Loss Awareness Day event on April 12, 2018, at its Burlington, Ontario Canadian office.
This event provides members of the amputee community a unique opportunity to learn about current issues concerning limb loss from engaging guest speakers, such as three-time Paralympian and world record holder, Jeff Tiessen. Attendees will also gain insight into the latest prosthetic technology currently available, try out prosthetic products, and talk with knowledgeable experts about their individual needs.
"The Ottobock Limb Loss Awareness event has been instrumental in my recovery and getting back on my feet,” according to David Sim, who now wears the C-Leg 4, “The team is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about their jobs and went above and beyond to help educate me around all the different product offerings, to ensure I found the perfect prosthesis that fit my needs.”
Trials for lower limb devices, including the C-Leg 4, Genium, Meridium feet, and X3 microprocessor knees, as well as the upper limb Michelangelo and bebionic hands will also take place.
